Lot Essay

A Poole chronometer with this serial number would probably have been made circa 1845; the movement would appear to be of a later period possibly 1870 onwards. No number has been found on the movement, a number 916 is scratched on the back of the dial. On the edge of the pillar plate is scratched 18/11/40.
