lithograph, 1894, on wove paper, a fine impression of this extremely rare print (Wittrock and Adriani knew of only seven impressions, one of which is printed in olive-green), published by E. Kleinmann, Paris, with his blindstamp (L. 1573), with margins, a short blue crayon stroke at the upper sheet edge, in very good condition

Lot Essay

Only a very few impressions were made of this print, which was designed as a menu for Adrien Hébrard, editor of the newspaper Le Temps. There is a related portrait study executed in lead pencil in the Musée d'Albi (Dortu D. 3.506)
