The recto was related by Nicholas Turner and Dr. Jörg Merz to a drawing by Calandrucci at Windsor Castle, A. Blunt, The Roman Drawings of the XVII & XVIII Centuries in the Collection of Her Majesty the Queen at Windsor Castle, London, 1960, no. 85.
Dr. Dieter Graf kindly confirmed the attribution to Calandrucci and connected the verso with a drawing in the Louvre (inv. 15351).
