According to Alastair Laing this is possibly the drawing that was engraved, in reverse, as Vue d'après Nature dessinée par F. Boucher, N°. 2, published by Basan. The other version of the present drawing in the Koenigs collection, with figures and signed, appears to Alastair Laing to have been done by Boucher probably as an independent work of art to be sold, A.J. Elen, Missing Old Master Drawings from the Franz Koenig Collection, The Hague, 1989, no. 422, illustrated.
