Lot Essay

This drawing is very similar in handling to The Abduction of Oreithyia, formerly in the Mariette collection, now in the Kunsthaus Helshof in Worms, W. Vitzthum, Drawings at Worms, Master Drawings, 1965, III, p. 258, pl. 17b.
