A stoneware inscribed and dated Royal tankard
1729, Vauxhall
Of cylindrical form and with grooved strap handle, applied with a portrait of Queen Anne within an arched rectangular cartouche flanked by two halbediers, four roses and two oak trees, the lower part with a stag-hunt with brown-spotted hounds, between reeded bands, the top rim inscribed Drink to the Pious Memory of Good Queen Ann 1729 (slight chips to top rim, crack to base)
