A lead-glazed stoneware silver-mounted tankard Circa 1700, the silver with maker's mark C M within an indented rectangular punch
Of cylindrical form, with grooved loop handle, the upper part with dark-brown, the lower part with cream slip, covered in a clear lead glaze, with a reeded base, the silver mount engraved with the initials L I * I and with 2 = 19, the lower part of the mount cut with pendant foliage
