A pottery figure of a Blackamoor Musician
Circa 1750
Naïvely modelled in cream and brown clays, playing a side-drum, in cream peaked hat, cream uniform streaked in brown, green and grey glazes, standing before a brown tree-stump on a circular pad base (damage to hat, repaired through neck, lower part of right arm a restored replacement, one drumstick lacking)
6 7/8in. (17.8cm.) high
