This revolver dates from 1886, the year in which this design was offered to the Metropolitan police in three models. Of the three, Model No. 1 had a larger barrel and was available in larger calibres, namely .476, .455, .450 and .430. It cost £3 15s. Revolver No. 146 was formerly in the I.M.I. Ltd. collection
