A Capodimonte (Carlo III) group of Harlequin and Columbine Circa 1750
Modelled by Guiseppe Gricci, Harlequin in brown mask, puce lozenge-patterned white jacket and trousers with gilt buttons and belt and cream shoes, a dagger at his waist, perched on the edge of a rock gently grabbing Columbine's hat, Columbine with her right arm resting on Harlequin's shoulder and her left hand holding her hat, in black mask, gilt choker, white bodice edged in purple and white skirt, the hem with a band of gilt scrollwork and black shoe with gilt bow, with one knee resting on rockwork, on a rockwork base (Harlequin's left hand a porcelain replacement, restoration to his right shoe, left cuff and dagger, two very minor restored chips to edge of her bodice, slight rubbing to gilt hem)
