A PAIR OF GEORGE III SATINWOOD DWARF SIDE CABINETS
Banded overall in amaranth and boxwood lines, the rounded rectangular breakfront top with slightly arched back above two glazed doors enclosing a green-painted interior with one shelf, the angles with a simulated panel on four later square tapering feet, the doors previously with silk backing, variations in width, each with indistinct paper label to the reverse
One 40in. (102.5cm.) wide; 35½in. (90.5cm.) high; 13in. (33cm.) deep, the other ½in. (1.3cm.) wider (2)

Acquired from Phillips of Hitchin on 2 July 1948 and invoiced as 'A very rare pair of Sheraton satinwood bookcase cabinets, the back edge of each cabinet top being worked on the curve. The doors which are now glazed may originally have had a brass grille £255 - -'.
