Acquired from Phillips of Hitchin on the 7 June 1947 and invoiced as 'A very rare Queen Anne Love Seat, c.1715, with 3 cabriole legs in front and 2 at back, and with shaped back and scrolled arms, all of exceptionally dainty proportions. The wood frame is original throughout, but has been reupholstered in new damask £200..'.
