With tapering double-edged blade and off-set fuller on each side, the hilt and scabbard almost entirely covered with silver decorated with beadwork and nielloed scrolling foliage, and set on the outside with ivory panels inlaid with intertwined engraved gold foliage, domed ivory grip-studs en suite, the scabbard with applied silver portrait bust of a Cossack between two grotesques, and with ribbed ball finial
