An English silver-mounted hanger
The locket signed 'Bibb Newport Street.', circa 1760
With slightly curved fullered blade etched and gilt over half its length on each side with trophies of arms and foliage against a blued ground, the hilt comprising recurved quillons chased with foliage and springing from a pierced central block, spirally fluted green-stained ivory grip, small silver button, and two silver knuckle-chains, in original leather-covered scabbard with silver mounts chased with foliage, the locket signed on one side, two suspension rings, and in excellent original condition throughout
24½in. (62.2cm.) blade
