A composite Venetian schiavona, an Eastern European pallasch, and an Italian gunner's stiletto
The first two early 18th Century, the last 17th Century
The first with double-edged rapier blade fluted and stamped with letters on each side of the forte, iron basket guard of flat bars arranged in a fan shape, ovoidal brass pommel, and wire-bound grip, in later leather scabbard (damaged); the second with later double-edged blade struck with spurious King's head marks, and brass stirrup hilt with slender langets, beaker pommel-cap, and wire-bound grip; the last with blade of triangular section, one face with numbered scale, the hilt comprising short brass quillons, writhen brass pommel, and cow-horn grip (slight damage) inlaid with staghorn pellets and brass nails
