No. 28 and 5836, circa 1865-70
With blued octagonal sighted barrel, the top-strap engraved with the retailer's name 'E.M. Reilly & Co., Oxford St., London', blued frame and trigger-guard (the latter with some wear), case-hardened cylinder with angled nipples, sprung case-hardened loading-gate, blued and case-hardened rammer, chequered walnut butt, and most of its original finish: in original fitted oak case lined in purple velvet (some fading) with accessories including Dixon flask, and brass bullet mould stamped with the retailer's name and address, the lid with E.M. Reilly & Co. trade label, Birmingham proof marks
