A 32-bore wheel-lock holster pistol
circa 1650, probably Dutch
With two-stage barrel struck with an indistinct mark on the octagonal breech, rounded lock retained by three side-nails (one associated), fruitwood full stock (fore-stock with old repair), ebonised pommel inlaid with lines of twisted brass wire (incomplete) and set with later brass medallion, iron trigger-guard and ramrod-pipe, and iron-capped ramrod (trigger replaced)
