A rare 22-bore Dutch wheel-lock holster pistol
circa 1650, almost certainly Maastricht
With two-stage barrel turned at the muzzle and struck on the underside of the breech with the CMIL mark (Neue Støckel 2260), rounded lock retained by three side-nails and with small wheel-retaining bracket and baluster pan-cover release button (jaw screw associated), ebony full stock (cracked) with raised apron at the barrel tang, iron mounts including two baluster ramrod-pipes, ivory pommel carved as a stylised flowerhead (iron button missing), iron fore-end cap, and later ramrod (iron parts with surface pitting)
