Inlaid overall with banded panels à quatre faces, the serpentine-fronted moulded brêche d'Alep marble top above a shaped fall-front with two panels enclosing to the reverse a purple cotton writing-surface, four open compartments and six shaped drawers, above two doors enclosing four open ebonised compartments, the canted angles with husk-trails, above a moulded base with shaped apron and on later cabriole legs, one drawer previously fitted, the marble with restored old breaks and resupported with an associated white marble
35½ in. (90 cm.) wide; 49 in. (125 cm.) high; 16½ in. (41.5 cm.) deep
