No. 1979, Roman hour numerals, gold hour and minute hands, subsidiary seconds and up-and-down dials with blued steel hands, small size movement (70 mm. diam.), the top-plate inscribed Brockbank & Atkins. LONDON. No. 1979, Earnshaw escapement, cut bimetallic balance with segmental heat compensation weights, blued steel helical balance spring, spring foot detent with jewelled locking stone, brass bowl and gimbal, brass-bound three-tier rosewood box with later top-lid, the centre section with inset later rectangular bone ivory plaque inscribed BROCKBANK & ATKINS 1979 LONDON, external brass drop handles
