No. 1970, Roman hour numerals, Arabic five minute intermarkers 60-5-10 et seque, gold hour and minute hands, subsidiary seconds and up-and-down dials with blued steel hands, standard size (85 mm. diam.) movement, the top-plate inscribed Brockbank & Atkins, London No. 1970, Earnshaw escapement, cut bimetallic balance with cylindrical heat compensation weights, blued steel helical balance spring, spring foot detent (replacement) with jewelled locking stone, brass bowl and gimbal, the bezel reflecting ring inscribed P. & O.S.N. Co., three tier ebony box with brass quarter-round edging and brass stringing to front and top-lid, the centre section with later recessed brass plaque inscribed P. & O.S.N. Co. Brockbank & Atkins.
