Each piece centrally enamelled with a large coat-of-arms, crest of two hands holding a dagger, and the motto 'Auxilio Dei' within leafy mantling, all within a wide border of scrolling green and turquoise oak-leaves suspending yellow acorns and dividing coral and gilt bands of half circles, the tureen with flat half-flowerhead handles, the dish cracked
