A MOGHUL-STYLE SPINACH JADE TWO-HANDLED 'CHRYSANTHEMUM' BOWL
18th century
The shallow bowl thinly carved with two double-chrysanthemum spray handles suspending loose rings and the centre as a flower head with three concentric bands of petals radiating from the cross-hatched centre repeated at the base and forming the foot rim-below bands of flowering branches on both sides of the rim, the translucent stone of even deep green tone with characteristic dark inclusions; and the book by GEORGE SAVAGE, Chinese Jade, London: Cory, Adams and Mackay Ltd., 1964.
