Finely carved with an elephant on a steep mountain path looking back at a robed gentleman holding a ruyi-sceptre and a young attendant carrying a spear, beside a figure holding a leafy vegetable, beneath pine, willow and wutong trees, a river, and a large boulder incised and gilt with a four-line Imperial inscription, the reverse with further trees on the rocky mountainside, the stone of even tone with some well-used opaque pale and russet inclusions
