The hollow figure cast seated in dhyanasana on a lotus base before a pierced mandorla moulded with foliate scrolls with hands in bhumisparsamudra wearing a dhoti below a jewelled necklace, large jewelled earrings at the long earlobes, and an elaborate tiara enclosing the tight curls and usnisa above the serene expression and urna, the interior stuffed with rolls of paper printed in Tibetan, minor dents and losses

Tibetan Buddhist figures are customarily filled with tight rolls of paper repetitively wood-block printed with a Tibetan mantra as part of their consecration. Sino-Tibetan figures are similarly filled but Chinese paper is thinner and will often include Chinese characters in the margins.
