Chased and engraved with four roundels enclosing the Imperial double-headed eagle, a lion and a unicorn amid floral and foliate scrolls on stippled ground, the border engraved with the Russian inscription 'Kovchik of Vasilii and Ivan Semeonovich Maslennikov, drink to your health and contentment', the base of the bowl applied with a roundel depicting a lion on stippled ground, the raised brow with bud finial, the raised hand chased and engraved with a mask within scrolls, the circular foot with three lion feet
