Lot Essay

An identical pair of urns by the Parisian firm of Boudet was sold in these Rooms, 30 October 1993, lot 255. Boudet, recorded at 43 Boulevard des Capucines from 1886, was an important atelier specializing in ameublement d'art, bronzes and works of art (see D. Ledoux-Lebard, Le Mobilier Français du XVI Siècle, 1989, p. 95). Another pair of urns of this model was sold in these Rooms, 4 November 1992, lot 26.
