KORYO DYNASTY (12TH-13TH CENTURY)

Of pear form with flaring mouth and resting on a short ring foot, inlaid in white and black slip with six petal-shaped panels enclosing vertical rows of linked chrysanthemum florets, covered by a celadon glaze with dense overall crackle, pooling blue-green in the shallow channels separating the petal panels--12 5/8in. (32cm.) high, firing crack to bottom of one panel
