Of rectangular shape with rounded corners inlaid in mother-of-pearl and colored ivory on a kinji, togidashi and kirigane-accented ground with cockerels beneath a trellis of blooming white wisteria, butterflies and a stand of yellow chrysanthemums or white peonies, the interior cases nashiji; fitted with an ivory netsuke in the form of a bird, signed Masatomo and with a cloisonné enamel bead ojime--3 7/8in. (9.8cm.) high
