(7 7/8 x 4 3/4 in.), contemporary red goatskin, covers gilt with three panels, the outer a double fillet, the middle panel a roll with floral tools at corners and at center of each side, the inner panel a roll within gilt fillet, spine in six gilt panelled compartments, the second lettered in gilt, g.e., joints restored but upper joint cracked, spine rubbed and a trifle faded, dampstaining. FIRST EDITION IN ENGLISH, title printed in red and black, engraved frontispiece, 33 engraved plates, woodcut head- and tail-pieces and initials. Engraved armorial bookplate of Lord Leigh.
