Inset of Mississippi delta at upper left; inset view of Quebec surmounted by an oval plan of the city and adjacent port and coastlines at lower right. Contemporary coloring, coloring to the Quebec cartouche possibly later.

Rare separately published enlarged version of the map of the same title published in vol. 6 of Châtelain's Atlas Historique (1719): cf. Koeman II, Cha 7 (map 7). The map follows the Châtelain map closely, though on a larger scale; both are derived from Nicolas de Fer's four-sheet map of America (1699, reissued in 1705 and 1717), and Guillaume de Lisle's 1718 map of Louisiana.
