MARILYN MONROE
A desk and chair used in the den of Marilyn Monroe's Roxbury, CT home with husband Arthur Miller. It is a Late Federal Cherry desk with a rectangular top above a frieze drawer on ring-turned tapering legs with ball feet; together with a Late Federal Maple caned side chair. Ms. Monroe wrote poetry at this desk and after redocorating the room to be a TV room she gave the desk to Mr. Ralph Roberts. A brass lamp with a white glass shade and bronze leaf design is included--27" high, 45" wide, 21½" deep.
