With a chamfered rectangular moulded brêche violet marble top above a conforming case fitted with a frieze drawer applied with crisply cast vitruvian scrolls over two glazed panelled doors applied with leaf-tip cast frames flanked by scrolling acanthus cast chutes and volutes, on bracket feet with foliate scrolling sabots, originally a secretaire à abattant in the 19th century
