A PAIR OF NABESHIMA STYLE DISHES, EDO PERIOD (19TH CENTURY), each round dish with shallow well mounted on a high ring and decorated in underglaze blue in an unusual pattern of interlocking diamond reserves formed by 'linked-chains' and rows of brushed lines, the undersides also painted in underglaze blue with three large peony sprays and the foot encircled by comb decoration--7¼ in. diam.
