Of rounded rectangular shape with four cases decorated in gold and silver takamaki-e with a waterfall, pines and rock on one side and on the other side with a large shishi inlaid in mother-of-pearl romping below the arched rocks beside the waterfall, details in kirigane, the interior cases nashiji, signature Shibayama on an inlaid rectangular cartouche; fitted with a stained ivory netsuke carved as an oni and a bead ojime--3 3/8in. (8.5cm.) high
