Both of oval section and with five cases, the first decorated with a continuous mountain lanscape with a waterfall and temples along the banks of a stream in gold and silver takamaki-e, hiramaki-e, and kirigane accents, interior cases nashiji, fitted with a soft metal ojime formed as a drum, and a cylindrical netsuke lacquered with chrysanthemums; the second lacquered in gold and silver takamaki-e and hiramaki-e on a kinji ground with wooded hills and a waterfall plunging into foaming waves, interior cases nashiji, signed Kajikawa saku and with red jar seal, fitted with an ivory ojime carved as two opposing masks, and an ivory netsuke carved in the form of a man on horseback--3¼ and 3 7/8in.
