Both of rounded rectangular shape and with four cases, the first decorated on each side with No actors in iro-e takamaki-e on a kinji ground recessed within a shaped frame, the sides, top and bottom in nashiji and hirame, interior cases nashiji, fitted with a cylindrical metal ojime and an ivory netsuke modelled as an immortal and child; the second decorated on each side with two kyogen actors in iro-e takamaki-e on a kinji ground, interior cases nashiji, signed Kakosai Shozan and with red jar seal, fitted with an ivory ojime carved as a turtle and an ivory netsuke carved as a well with a frog climbing up the side--3 5/8 and 3 3/8in.
