after a model by Thomas Lovatt, decorated with a continuous frieze of classical figures among columns and trees, the angular handles suspending bearded mask terminals, the base applied with a bust of Paris wearing a Phrygian cap, impressed factory and modeller marks, the metal circular stand encasing a mirror -- 13½in. (34.3cm.) high overall, circa 1880 (some cracks to cameo and slight wear)
