A pale-blue-dip and white jasper commemorative vase and cover
designed by John Goodwin for the bicentenary of the birth of Josiah Wedgwood, of compressed drum form, inscribed CC POST NATUM CONDITOREM ANNO VIGET ARS ETRURIAE REDINTEGRATA., below a gadrooned section, the lower section with engine turned decoration, the flattened cover with a finial formed as Apollo, seated, on a circular foot applied with a stiff-leaf band on a square section ebonised base, impressed mark, painted No 40 to foot and cover, of a limited edition of 50 -- 9¼in. (23.4cm.) high, circa 1930 (minor firing faults, slight wear)
