The frosted silvered dial signed Winnerl No 239, Roman hour numerals, Breguet blued steel hour and minute hands, subsidiary seconds dial (at XII), sector up-and-down dial (at VI) both with blued steel hands, reversed fusee full-plate movement, Earnshaw escapement, cut bi-metallic balance with cylindrical heat compensation weights, blued steel helical balance spring, spring foot detent with steel locking pallet, brass bowl, gimbal with bolt action locking arm, two-tier mahogany box with double-throw lock, the top with sliding cover to viewing port with inset diamond shape bone plaque inscribed No 239, external brass drop handles, on plinth base.
