The silvered dial signed and numbered Breguet Neu Compie N489, Roman hour numerals, blued steel Breguet hour and minute hands, subsidiary seconds dial (at VI) with blued steel hand, full-plate going barrel movement with gibbous shaped platform numbered 341 with shaped brass rod balance protector carrying Earnshaw escapement, inverted cut bi-metallic balance with large brass quarter screws plus four smaller heat compensation screws, undersprung blued steel helical balance spring with adjustable clamp assemblies to top and bottom coils, spring detent with steel locking pallet and adjustable clamping assembly to side of banking block, the fourth wheel with train locking detent controlled by screw passing through both the platform and top-plate, brass bowl, bezel with flat glass and octagonal shaped gimbal ring all numbered 489, bolt action locking arm, in plain two-tier mahogany box with visible dove-tailing and plinth base, the top with sliding cover to viewing port with inset diamond shaped brass plaque inscribed No 489, external brass drop handles, external brass stay for top section.
