A Regency rosewood striking four glass clock
Barraud & Lund, London. No. 1507; second quarter 19th Century
The case of typical proportions on brass bun feet with ogee moulding above the rectangular base, bevelled glasses to the sides and stepped gadrooned top with foliate cast octagonal section handle, the engine turned gilt dial signed Barraud & Lund Cornhill London. 1507 on the painted Roman chapter ring with blued moon hands, the five pillar twin chain fusee movement with Harrison's maintaining power, the gilt platform with plain gilt brass three-arm balance wheel to underslung lever escapement, hour strike on gong with strike/silent lever to the top of the dial, the back-plate signed Barraud & Lund Cornhill, London. 1507
