A VERY RARE FAMILE VERTE 'BIRTHDAY' PLATE
ENCIRCLED KANGXI SIX-CHARACTER MARK AND OF THE PERIOD

Delicately enamelled over the broad medallion with a goose gliding over a small gaggle of three geese feeding and squawking among bamboo and weeds at the water's edge beside a leafy tree, the everted border pencilled in iron-red with lotus florettes on a honeycomb diaper ground and the inscription wan shou wu jiang, longevity without end
