The present dish relates surprisingly well to the yenyen vase in the Palace Museum, Beijing, very finely decorated in famille verte enamels and gilt with similar song birds above a lush lotus pond is illustrated in Kangxi, Yongzheng, Qianlong, p. 53, fig. 37.
