Each well-carved in a free hand with a leafy stem encircling two flower-heads, one of chrysanthemum and one of lotus with ripe pods, the exterior undecorated, covered in a warm olive-green glaze pooling at the recesses

An identical 'lotus' dish in the British Museum is illustrated in Oriental Ceramics: The World's Great Collections, Kodansha Series, vol. 5, fig. 81. A 'chrysanthemum' dish is illustrated by Krahl, Chinese Ceramics from the Meiyintang Collection, vol. 1, no. 406.
