a seven-inch disc with central relief of Their Majesties, embossed title on outer margin, in wood mount with turntable-spindle recess and maker's carton with Royal coat-of-arms label on lid (damage to rims of carton, lid and wood mount)

Lot Essay

Issued for the Coronation planned for June 26th 1902 (postponed because of the King's appendicitis). The recording is God Save the King, followed by Three Cheers. The wood mount raises the record (which has no central hole) above the turntable spindle.
