On the 4th April 1990, at The Glenfiddich Distillery four casks which were numbers 844, 845, 846 and 847 filled on the 17th July 1937;
casks 1044, 1046, 1047 and 1048 filled on the 25th November 1939
and one cask number 1111 filled on the 14th December 1939 were
taken from warehouse number 11 at the distillery for vatting. After
a period of one year had elapsed and the marring process had successfully completed, the whisky was bottled on the 26th July
1991 by hand
Bottle number 18 is accompanied by a framed certificate issued to the
owner on 9th February 1995 and entitles the bearer the status of Freeman of The Glenfiddich Distillery subject to the Regulations of William Grant & Sons and Her Majesty's Customs and Excise, this status is transferred with the ownership of the bottle
