In Thunderball Fiona Volpe is seen wearing the sapphire and diamond earring and brooch set with her chiffon head scarf and blue dress in her car when she gives James Bond [Sean Connery] a lift to his hotel in Nassau. She drives particularly fast all the way, and when Bond gets out comments that she hopes she didn't frighten him adding 'Some men just don't like to be driven' to which he replies 'Some men just don't like to be taken for a ride'.

The vendor purchased this costume jewellery at the end of the production from Eileen Sullivan, wardrobe mistress on Thunderball.
