A HUANGHUALI TRAVELING BOOKCASE, TUSHU XINGGUI
17th Century
Entirely huanghuali, the rectangular cabinet with well-figured paneled doors fitted flush with the frame, the interior with two small top drawers and two shelves supported by cross braces with exposed tenons, the base reinforced with baitong mounts wrapped around the corners, the sides with baitong handles, the face plates and hinges flush with the surface
