The miniature action-body, lockplates and hammers gold-encrusted with bold foliate-scrolls and tendrils, the lockplates further embellished with the heads of sea-monsters and the underside of the action-body encrusted with the central motif of a grotesque head, the whole on a fine colour-hardened ground, the furniture decorated en suite on a deep charcoal-blued ground, with gold-encrusted borderwork, finely-figured stock with horn butt-plate and gold-inlaid pins, sling-swivels, gold-encrusted forend-iron, the browned fine twist barrels with matt rib and gold-encrusted breech-ends, the rib further embellished with the maker's name in gold
